Preparing for Harvest
Before you harvest your marijuana plants there are many things that you will have to do. One of the things that are important is flushing your weed plants. The main thing you have to is supply your marijuana plants with reverse osmosis treated water or distilled water. You will want to flush the marijuana plants for at least a week before the harvest time. You should let the weed plants adapt to the different water though. Giving the plants reverse osmosis treated water or distilled water two weeks before harvest is a good introduction. You can keep feeding the marijuana plants right up until a week before the harvest though.
Just Water
You will want to give your marijuana plants only water (no nutrients or fertilizer) for the last week before harvest. If you know how long it takes for your particular marijuana strain to reach the harvest stage then you can safely do this. That is only for a hydroponic garden though. If you are growing your marijuana plants in soil then you can wait until two days before the harvest to stop giving the marijuana plants any water. It is not necessary for you to do this but it will help quicken the drying process for the marijuana plants.
For hydroponic marijuana plants you cannot remove the water source before you harvest the dope plants. Removing all water from the garden can lead to the weed plants starting to die within only minutes or hours of the water going away.
