Pruning Marijuana Plants – Stems

Every time you cut the tip of part of your marijuana plant it will cause the stem to move into two different shoots. Where the leaf and stem connect is where the new growth will begin. Doing so will help your marijuana plants further grow to make bigger buds and get a larger yield. Pruning

You want to make sure you don’t prune any young dope plants. The dope plants you prune should have developed a minimum of 5 bladed leaves on it. the marijuana plants will have to at least be in the vegetative phase before you even consider pruning them.

A lot of experienced growers have no issues with pruning their marijuana plants after about five weeks into growth. The main reason people would do this is to bring more attention to the lower branches so the marijuana plants grow bushier and don’t focus too much on getting really tall.
