Spider Mites

Out of all the different kinds of pests that can be found in marijuana plants the most common one would be spider mites. For most beginner growers they likely won’t be able to spot them too easily but an experienced grower will probably already have had their dope plants poisoned with them before.

Identifying the Spider Mites

They appear as spiders (with 8 legs) and are usually found at the bottom of the leaves on your cannabis plants. The main way to notice there are spider mites is when they feed on the leaves because it will leave a spot (yellow/white in color) on the top portion of the marijuana leaves. Usually if you really focus on the stem and below the leaves you will notice spider webs.

Potential Issues

Not only will the spider mites damage the leaves but they can cause even worse health problems with the marijuana plants. Spider mites can cause the plant do have a stunted growth. The spider mites can make your dope plants not be able to produce chloraphyl any more and essentially will destroy your plants
.
After they are attacking your plant for so long without any defense the infestation will occur at a quicker rate. It’s also possible for spider mites to get pregnant and have babies so the infestation can be insane if not fixed.

Stop the Mites

The main thing to remember so you can prevent or eliminate the spider mites is to keep the crop clean. Any tools in the grow room should be clean and disinfected. If an infestation of spider mites occurs on your weed plants you will have to strip the whole room down and clean the whole crop.
