You should also understand your rights. If a cop comes to your door without a warrant you can reject him on the spot. You may want to find a way to get your crop out of your house without notice though in case he does get a warrant later on.

Police will monitor your house regularly. There are many cops which patrol the streets and actively drive by suspicious places. Most of the time it will be well known drug dealing houses but there is a chance you will find a way onto their shift. They will watch for anything suspicious that can grant them a warrant or the ability to search without one.
