Nutrients – Powder or Liquid
You can purchase both dry powder and liquid nutrients for your marijuana plants but you want to make sure you buy the best one. Dry powder nutrients which are meant to be mixed in with water are the best option. The price is a lot more reasonable for long term purpose compared to the pre-mixed liquid nutrient solutions.
Liquid Nutrient Solutions
Liquid nutrient solutions are just as efficient as dry powder nutrient solutions but the main concern is the cost. It costs more for shipping because the water is already mixed in. While there are still some liquid solutions which are not too expensive the dry powder solutions is always a better deal if you want to save money.
If your marijuana plants are growing in a hydroponic setup which utilizes a water pump then be sure that the dry powder solution you use dissolves completely before you put it into the reservoir. You can cause damage to your water pump and even destroy it if you put nutrient crystals in that are not already dissolved.
To easily dissolve dry powder nutrient solutions you should add a bit of water into a cup and mix it in with the nutrient powder. After you know the powder is completely dissolved in the water you can pour it into the reservoir. If you leave any nutrient crystals that are not dissolved in the cup then just pour hot water into it and mix it some more. Leave the cup to sit for a couple of hours and then mix it again and then you can pour it into your reservoir. After that any remaining nutrient crystals can be thrown in the garbage.
The main thing to remember is to never put anything solid inside the reservoir because you don’t want to damage your water pump. Make sure any nutrients you use are meant just for hydroponic setups and not for growing soil.
