How to Make Honey Hash Oil – Directions (Post-Extraction)

A couple minutes after you start extracting the oil from your marijuana in the pipe the draining should be complete. Be careful while handling the pipe still because there is a lot of butane residue left inside it which hasn’t fully evaporated yet. There will probably be a lot of fumes escaping from the cap with one hole.

Drain

After the oil is only draining with small drops occurring every couple of seconds you should start to tap the top of the pipe. This will assist the butane to get out of the pipe quicker. You could also blow into the pipe from the hole if you wanted to. Make sure you are gentle with either method.

Since butane boils at such a low temperature there is a chance it is already boiling outside if the temperature is rather warm. The baking dish will continue to get colder because the butane will cool it down though and this will decrease the speed that it evaporates. If you hold the baking dish in your hands then the speed will start to increase again. If you set the baking dish inside a saucepan that has some warm water in it that would help more.

The butane should be fully evaporated within about half an hour if you let it do so itself. Once the butane evaporates from the hash oil you can scrape it up with a razor blade and store it in a vial or container.
