How to Clone (Planting the Clones)

Once you have prepared the clones from your marijuana plants to be planted and they have sat in a dark clone room for at least one night you can plant them if you know how to do it. this guide can assist you to make sure you don’t make any mistakes that could kill your miniature dope plants.

Step 1

When the clones of your cannabis plants have already sat overnight you can grab the tray that contains the growing media and make a hole (quarter an inch deep) for every clone section of the tray. Grab one of the clones and slightly soak it in the rooting hormone and cover at least a quarter of an inch to half an inch of the stem before you place it in the hole situated in the growing media.

Be careful when placing the clone in and make sure it does not go past three quarters of an inch deep in the growing media. Drop a bit of rooting hormone on the stem going down to be sure it sets in place.

Step 2

Now you will have to mist your clones and place the fluorescent growing light about a foot above the clones. Leave the fluorescent light on 24/7 while the rooting system has not become stable and rooted in the growing media yet. Ideally you will have the fluorescent lights on 24/7 over the baby weed plants for anywhere from one week to four weeks. Mist your clones about five times every day and they might end up rooting within just a week or two.

Step 3

Make sure that your small dope plants are kept moisturized but not soaked. Make sure the growing media doesn’t get soaked either. Once the roots start to show up you can then move the clone into the main growing media you plan to grow the clones to full sized marijuana plants in.

Now that you have transplanted your clones and they are about to grow into mature cannabis plants you can start treating them like normal marijuana plants. Remember that not all clones will live though and only about 50% of them will likely survive through the cloning and rooting process so don’t get high expectations.
