Nutrients while Growing Marijuana Plants
When you are growing your marijuana plants they are going to need some plant food. The amount of plant food you give will depend on what stage you are in. the first few weeks of the vegetative and flowering stages you will want to minimize the plant food your weed plants receive. The rest of the time you will be giving your marijuana plants the full recommended amount of plant food. The amount of certain nutrients within the food will vary depending on what stage the plants are in as well.
Vegetative Stage
This is when your marijuana plants will need to consume a lot of nitrogen. The plants will still need quite a bit of phosphorus and potassium but a 20-10-10 or 30-15-15 share would be sufficient.
Flowering Stage
This is when your marijuana plants will need to consume a lot of phosphorus and potassium. The amount of nitrogen that is needed in the flowering stage is a lot lower. You are pretty much supplying your marijuana plants with the exact opposite. If you had a 20-10-10 split in the vegetative stage then having 10-20-20 in the flowering stage would be sufficient. If you had 30-15-15 in the vegetative stage then having 15-30-30 in the flowering stage would work as well.
If you are not able to find the right combination of nutrients in any plant food or don’t know which nutrient you should purchase then you should just look for nutrients which are recommended for hydroponic plant growth. There should be separate products for each stage of growth for your plants and you can just buy them like that. Be sure that all of the plant foods you purchase for your dope plants contain the trace elements as well though.
