Odors

Whenever you grow or smoke marijuana there will be an odor. Depending on the weed, what stage it’s in, and the environment the strength of the odor can vary. The smell of your marijuana plants could be strong enough that people that you don’t want to know could notice it. To get rid of the odor you will have to set up a system which will do so. Ozone is one popular solution to minimize the smell of your marijuana plants.

Masking the Odor

There are many ways to keep the smell down to a minimum. Ozone, carbon filters, and exhaust fans are some of the most popular methods. Usually people will stick with just exhaust fans and they are efficient enough to take the heat out of the growing area. However if you are going to set up an exhaust system then you have to make sure that the area has proper ventilation so you don’t attract any suspicion. You could set the other end of the exhaust on the roof or somewhere which is rarely ever used if you want to.

Keeping the smell down is very important. If you live in an apartment then you will probably want to use carbon filters. If you want to mask the smell from other people in your building it may be difficult during the flowering stage. If you have your own place it’s strongly suggested that you don’t have any company over during the flowering stages because the smell is so strong.
