Making Hash Oil – Technique #1 (How to Make the Oil)

Once you have all the materials gathered and prepared to put into use you can start to make the hash oil. This is definitely something people enjoy to do with their marijuana plants because it adds an extra (and unique) high when you use it while smoking your weed plants. Usually people will put the oil on rolling papers with their joints.

Step 1

Your hash should be hard. High quality hash will be solid and won’t crumble too easily but it will have more of a smudge action when you play with it. You will have to crumble the hash you are using for oil in a cooking pot and add isopropyl in the pot. Keep the pot over a burner set on a low temperature for half an hour.

Step 2

Grab some good filter paper and use it to filter the gunk from the hash. Make sure the alcohol in the pot is fully evaporated as well. it’s simple as that to make hash oil but if you want to take it the extra step and make it even more pure you need to use petroleum ether.

Step 3

This is optional as your hash oil is already in a state where it can be enjoyed. Combine resin, isopropyl, ether, and water to make a mixture inside a container. You won’t need to stir the mixture but put the cover on the container and flip it upside down and upright back and forth around twenty times. Be gently when doing this as it’s not meant to be a shaking motion. Let the container sit with the mixture in it till the layers are separated. The ether will be seen above the water and isopropyl.

Step 4

Get the ether out of the container and repeat step 3 two or three more times using fresh petroleum ether. Ideally you will want to get the ether evaporated and possibly salvaged. The result of this will be very strong hash oil if the actual hash you used (and dope plants) was high quality as well.

Keep in mind that ether is explosive and can cause a spontaneous combustion once it starts to decompose. If you want to make honey hash oil you can take it an extra step but you will probably lose a lot of quantity however the quality would be phenomenal.
