Use HPS and MH Lights at the Same Time

Many people will just use either a high pressure sodium or metal halide grow light. However you can set up your marijuana plants to use both types of lights if you want to. Instead of just hooking up a single high wattage light you could have two lower wattage lights. If you were going to use just a 400w grow light then instead you can get two 250w grow lights – one high pressure sodium light and one metal halide light.

Advantages

There are many benefits to setting up two different lights then just using one. One of those advantages would be that the light is getting spread across your dope plants equally and you can cover more growing area then you could if it was just one light set up. You also don’t need such a high ceiling in the grow room because having two bulbs with similar wattages allows you to put them near the weed plants.

The main issue with setting up both a high pressure sodium and metal halide light at the same time is the fact that it will cost a lot more. You will have to buy two light bulbs and two ballasts so it will definitely add up.
