The Sun as a Grow Lamp
Many people grow marijuana plants outside but most people don’t realize why the sun is effective at growing the marijuana plants. The main things include the sun light and the hours of the day that the sun is out. Rain will also play a role in the growing process but marijuana plants depend on light and the type of light they get is very important as well.
Growing Periods: Spring/Summer
Naturally the sun will give off light that can go across the red and blue sections of the lighting spectrum. With marijuana plants they will be able to begin to grow in the spring and summer time and the seedling and vegetative states will have the weed plants absorbing mostly blue light from the light spectrum. The blue lights are part of which are healthily growing the marijuana plants.
Growing Periods: Summer/Fall
Once you get to the end of the summer and the fall the marijuana plants will start to grow flowers and the sun light will mostly be in the red area of the light spectrum. Once the light changes and the length of the days change the hormones within the marijuana plants will cause the production of flower and THC to go up.
Naturally the sun works perfectly for growing marijuana plants. If you want to grow the marijuana plants inside then you basically want to clone the lighting that the sun gives and with technologies you may even be able to provide a better lighting source for your marijuana plants.
Make sure that you realize you will need both a light for the early stages of growing the marijuana plants and when you get to the flowering stages or else you will end up with a wasted plant.
