LED Lights – Good or Bad

There has been a lot of conversation about using LED lights to grow your marijuana plants. The technology is advancing with these lights and at some point in the future they may become the best choice for growing dope plants but right now they are not. Many experiments have been made by various experienced growers and the results have shown that they are not the best option.

Advantages

LED lights are a great idea for the vegetative state. There are a lot of different types of LED lights that you can get and if you get the right kind then they could be the best choice in the vegetative state.

Disadvantages

When the marijuana plants reach a foot in height the LED lights probably won’t be able to reach near the bottom of the plant and they will become useless. The buds that marijuana plants produce when grown from start till finish with LED lights are not as potent, smaller, and overall the yield is a lot smaller.

Right now if you are serious about growing weed plants whether it’s for personal use or commercial use you will want to stay away from LED lights at least for the flowering stage.
