Foliage Feeding – Plant Food

Foliage (or foliar) feeding refers to a method which can be used on your marijuana plants to help maximize the yield, how quick your cannabis plants grow, and the potency of your bud. Feeding your dope plants with this technique can help out a lot as long as it is done properly.

Food

To do this you will have to make a liquid solution which consists of a combination of the following ingredients: bat guano, worm castings, fish emulsion – generally any type of plant food will work effectively during both the vegetative phase and early on in the flowering phase.

It’s suggested that you do not go about this method while your marijuana plants are approaching the end of flowering. If you do you may end up with the material on your bud and not absorbed by the time you harvest your weed plants. About three weeks before you harvest your cannabis plants you should stop feeding your plants with this method.

Make sure you are careful when feeding the marijuana leaves and read up on how to do it properly. There are some issues with foliar feeding and some growers may not recommend it but there are benefits as well. it’s a personal opinion on the matter and you don’t have to feed the leaves directly if you don’t want to.
