Growing Hydroponic Marijuana Plants – Stages
After you have let your marijuana seed spout with a root and the root system and leaves have started to grow then things are starting to progress smoothly. The next stage will be the vegetative stage. The marijuana plant should be receiving anywhere from 18 to 24 hours of light every single day during the vegetative stage. Hydroponic marijuana plants will usually take anywhere from four to eight weeks for the seedling and vegetative stages to complete.
Flowering
After the seedling and vegetative stages are complete the marijuana plants will approach the flowering stage. This is where the marijuana plants will start to receive only about twelve hours of light every day. Usually the flowering stage lasts around eight to twelve weeks. The large majority of the THC in the marijuana plants is created in the flowering stage so it is definitely an important part of the marijuana plants growth.
Usually it takes around four months for you to complete the marijuana plants growth. This would be measured from the date that you germinated the seeds to the date of the harvest. However you can shorten the time by a month or even more if you use two separate areas to grow the weed plants. You would create one growing area for weed plants that are in the early stages of plant growth and another growing area for the plants at the end of growth. After the flowering stage is complete you will harvest the marijuana plants and let them dry out.
