Hydroponic Marijuana Plant Growing - Flowering Stage
When your marijuana plants reach the flowering stage they will produce the majority of the THC. If you want to have really potent ganja then you will definitely want to make sure that your marijuana plants are taken care of properly in the flowering stage. Once your marijuana plants reach the size of at least six inches in height and have a minimum of 4 sets of marijuana leaves you are able to move to the flowering stage. If you did this at this point the yield would be very little though so it’s best to wait until your marijuana plants reach a much larger size.
Flowering
It’s suggested that you wait until the marijuana plants reach at least a foot in height before you start flowering your marijuana plants assuming you are growing them with a 400w grow light. The marijuana plants should be prepared for flowering in no later than eight weeks of being in the vegetative state. If you let the marijuana plants grow taller it could compromise part of the potency of the weed plants. This is due to the fact that the grow light will not reach some of the lower branches of the dope plants. If you grow the marijuana plants too small before flowering then you will have a very small yield and it’s a waste of time, effort, and money.,
If you use a 250w grow light then you might want to attempt to proceed to the flowering stage once your marijuana plants hit around eight inches in height. If you are growing the marijuana plants with either 600w or 1000w grow lights then you could be safe with waiting for the marijuana plants to wait until they are a foot and a half or taller in height before you start flowering. The basic concept behind this is that the more watts you have in your grow lights the taller your marijuana plants will grow without damaging the potency and this will also lead to more buds produced as well.
