Air Cooled Lighting Fixtures
Usually the lights you use for your weed plants will end up distributing quite a bit of heat in your grow room. The grow lights could cause the heat in the room and around your dope plants to rise above a safe limit. This system works by having the grow light closed inside the system and having air intakes and exhausts which make the light and the area around it stay cool.
Setup
You can either buy a fixture with the air cool feature built in or you can buy the air cooling section separately and add it on to your current grow light. Usually the system will consist of an air intake and air exhaust section. The hot air will travel through the air intake hole and will exit through the air exhaust and head over to a different room of the house or even outside of your house.
This will remove most of the extreme heat being produced by the grow lights and help prevent your marijuana plants getting harmed. Usually a duct will be connected to the air intake and air exhaust sections. Afterwards an internal fan is placed in position on each ends of the duct and assists in getting the heat out of the room in a timely manner.

When you go to buy an air cooled lighting system you will have to be sure the kit you purchase is designed to fit your bulbs. When you make the conversion to an air cooling system from your basic grow light there may be certain systems meant for only high pressure sodium or only metal halide bulbs. This is because metal halide bulbs are larger and won’t fit in the same fixture. This is a great addition to your grow room if you don’t have a good air circulation already or if you have a lot of grow lights set up for your dope plants.
