Foliage Feeding – Feeding the Leaves

Once a week you will have to wash the marijuana leaves by using water to make sure there are no clogs in the stomata part of the leaves. It’s best to provide your marijuana plants food through this technique once a day or once every second day. Early in the morning around seven to ten AM is the suggested feeding time but past five at night also works effectively. This is due to the fact that the stomata of the marijuana leaves will be open during these times and is easier to absorb the plant food. Ideally the plants will get the food during a cool time of the day but if it’s an indoor crop the judgment will be more difficult and will be based on the lighting setup.

Applying the Food

Applying the plant food on the leaves is really easy and using a spray bottle will do the job just fine. The main thing to remember is that you can’t give your plants too much food. It’s better to give your weed plants a little bit of food multiple times each day then to give the plants a lot of food once a day.

You should also know that fish emulsion has gives off a rather foul odor and bat guano might lead to major sanitary issues. If you’re not careful you may also get a lot of nitrate salts on your bud and this is not a good thing to smoke or consume. If you are growing your marijuana plants inside it’s not really necessary to risk harming your dope plants to be able to foliar feed.
