EC, TDS, PPM, and CF
All of these terms are very important to know when you are growing marijuana plants. The first one is EC which his electrical conductivity. This is measured based on the miliSiemens per cm and is used to check how much dissolved solids are inside the nutrients your marijuana plants are getting. TDS means total dissolved solids and this is based on parts per million and does the exact same thing as electrical conductivity does but is measured in a different manner.
EC and TDS Meters
These two meters both are utilized to check the strength that your hydroponic setup has. These meters check to find out if the nutrient solution is working the best it possibly can or not. Only experienced marijuana plant growers will utilize EC and TDS meters though.
Most of these things are not very important for newer growers but if you are going to be dealing with a large crop then the health of the marijuana plants is very important. If you are a beginner then you should mostly be monitoring the pH levels and the temperature of the growing room instead. Read up on how you can make sure that your marijuana plants aren’t damaged by low pH levels so you can help prevent any possible health issues. You should still read up more on the meters and everything else mentioned here to understand why they are helpful though.
