Fertilizer Dosage
When you are feeding your marijuana plants fertilizer you don’t want to give the plants too much because it could damage them, stunt the growth, and possibly even kill them. Usually it won’t be a big deal though because marijuana plants are usually able to eat up and handle as much food as you give them if it’s given gradually. If you feed too much food all at once to the plant then it could be dangerous. The best thing to do is give small amounts at intervals and gradually increase the food portions as you feed the weed plants.
Feeding the Plants
For the first 90 days of growing the marijuana plants you should give the marijuana plants some fertilizer every couple days. Once the leaves start to grow slower and the marijuana plants are starting to get ready to bloom and produce seeds you should lower the amount of fertilizer you give the weed plants as well. Make sure that you don’t give the marijuana plants any fertilizer right before you harvest them because the fertilizer can cause the foliage to further produce and this will decrease the speed of the resin production.
Organic fertilizers are obviously the best option and worm castings are one of the best fertilizers you can get. Worms are grown and sold for both gardening and fishing reasons so you can purchase worm related products at many garden stores. Usually worm breeders will place the worms inside compost solutions and as the worms reproduce the worms will also be eating the organic contents of the compost. Afterwards the worms are taken out of the container and sold as worms but the compost is sold as worm castings. This is probably one of the best choices but the price can be costly so you might want to stick to normal fertilizer if you can’t afford it.
