Light during Darkness while Flowering
When your hydroponic marijuana plants are supposed to be in the dark they have to be in the dark. That means complete darkness. However it is not always really easy to prevent all light from getting to the weed plants. The strength that the light has which is produced from the moon is about as strong as a light can be that has contact with the marijuana plants. Any light that is stronger than the light given off from the moon can damage your weed plants and cause the flowering process to delay. If this keeps going on every night then your weed plants won’t actually flower and will just stick in the vegetative state but not have a major growth either.
Flowering
Having no light pointing on the marijuana plants during the flowering when the plants are meant to be in the dark is more important during the early weeks of flowering. The first four weeks of the flowering stage consist of the part of growth which can be most affected by these minor errors. After a month of flowering there can be little bits of light shining on them without them being harmed.
A good sign that your marijuana plants are starting to flower is when you notice pistils (looks like white hairs) starting to show up where the buds are on female marijuana plants. The male marijuana plants generally show little sacks and are a good indication that the male plants are flowering. It may take at least two weeks for the early signs of flowering to show. White hairs on the female marijuana plants will change colors when the plant gets older. The end result will be reddish brown hairs which are commonly found on marijuana buds and in large quantities can be a sign of good dope.
