Breeding Marijuana Plants
If you are breeding different marijuana strains which both have strong genes in certain areas it may not be possible for you to achieve the exact marijuana plant you want to create from just one breed attempt. If this is the case then you will have to breed in two different marijuana plants out of the same batch that you get from the first cross. From doing this you will allow recessive genes to be available and for you to get the weed plant you want may only work if you use this method.
Crossing Strains
Usually it is only worth the effort to cross two marijuana strains that are very different. Doing this is because it will cause the breed to reach the presence of a hybrid vigor. The strongest marijuana strains are made from mixing almost exact opposite strains and breading them together. Weaker or less appealing marijuana strains are usually resulted from breeding similar strains because you are causing the recessive gene traits to open and possibly weaken the potency of the marijuana strain you create.
All hybrid breeds will be different and unique. All the marijuana plants you grow from the batch of seeds you bred from the same weed plants will cause a different plant to be grown. This makes it important for you to review every marijuana plant one at a time to identify which are valuable. If you find one marijuana plant out of the bunch that is a lot better than the rest and delivers you a large yield with big buds that are very potent then you are going to want to clone and breed that marijuana plant.
