Growing Marijuana Plants - CFL’s

CFL’s are compact fluorescent lamps and are also called energy saving lights sometimes. CFL’s are fluorescent lamps which are usually created as an alternative for incandescent lamps as they can be placed in incandescent lamp fixtures. With ease of use it’s a great deal since they work a lot better for growing dope plants with in the vegetative stage.

Cost

CFL’s are very popular for being very cost efficient. They emit the same visible light as incandescent lamps would but usually take up less power and can last long before burning out completely. The cost for CFL’s is a bit more expensive but in the long run it is a good investment. From just one of these lights you could save around $30 just on electricity by the time the lamp dies. Disposing CFL’s is rather difficult though because just like any other type of fluorescent lamp it contains mercury.

The light spectrum that is covered from CFL’s is a lot different than it is for all incandescent lamps. The soft white CFL’s are comparable to your basic incandescent lamp but most CFL’s are completely different and a lot better for growing marijuana plants with.
