Breeding Marijuana Plants

You can breed your marijuana plants. You would have to pick out cuttings from certain mother plants which are quicker to grow and mature. Usually there will be certain plants that naturally grow better than others even if it’s from the same marijuana strain and gets the exact same energy from lights, nutrients, and water. It’s not very difficult for you to choose the strongest weed plants out of the bunch for you to breed but not only is potency important but the speed of growth is as well.

Pick out the one female marijuana plant you have that is a lot faster than the rest and have it breed with your strongest male marijuana plant to speed up the flowering process. You will want to make a clone of your best performer to get the quickest single plant crop you can possibly have. While you have bigger crops growing you can still complete the one stronger marijuana plant faster and you have some good bud to hold you over.

Once the male marijuana plant begins the flowering stage it will have to be taken away from the female marijuana plants to prevent it from pollinating the bunch. Keep in mind that used as an alternative term to cloning but you can actually breed your plants to create marijuana seeds as well.

Male plants generally start flowering about a week or two before female plants will. Putting the male plants in an area which receives a couple hours of sun every day will be good enough to keep them alive. You should make sure that the male plants are placed in a healthy growing environment and you should put newspapers or glass in the area for the pollen to drop on when the flowers release it. Male weed plants aren’t really good but if you are an experienced grower you can make the best out of a bad thing.
